Part 2: Ground breaking customer experience
A ground breaking shopping experience, offering a seamless experience to your customers, breaking the barriers from online to offline and from in-shop to web shop.
Whether starting online or offline is not really important, what matters is how customers experience your shop and brand. The loyalty they express to you in returning as a customer. The amount of trust they have in your advice and suggestions.
The user experience we envision below does not restrict to fashion retail only, but can be applied anywhere.
Your personal token
The seamless experience starts with obtaining a personal token. Our solution centres around today’s most personal device, our smart phone or smart watch.
From the Google Play or App Store, our mobile app is downloaded and a personal profile is created. Personal and privacy sensitive data is stored in the app only. From this point onward, the mobile app is used as your identity token giving access to your online and in-shop experiences.
Identify yourself online
When you visit your favourite web shop or brand website, you share your personal token by simply scanning the presented QR code with our mobile app. So, no longer the need to create a profile or to enter your username, password combination. The website simply recognizes your personal token.
From now on, the products you view or purchase are recognized by the web shop when you return in the future. Although the web shop at this point does not have access to any of your personal data, it does recognize you as a returning visitor based on your personal token.
Online to Offline
Your shopping experience online is extended to the retail shop. As soon as you enter the offline shop, our mobile app connects to the in-shop application. Your personal token is exchanged, and based on your online shopping profile the in-shop application enriches your shopping experience.
Large video walls and beautifully moulded screens all of a sudden display models dressed in the products you previously viewed online. The narrow casting adapts to the customers walking around in the shop, wearing their personal tokens.
Smart retail mirrors
Walking to one of the smart retail mirrors nearby, you can identify yourself to the mirror again using your personal token in our mobile app. By either scanning the QR code on the mirror, or by tapping the mirror with your device using NFC, your personal token is exchanged with the mirror application.
Now your online experience is available in the shop, under the touch of your finger. You can browse through your previous online product views, see how the product suits you using overlay technology, and quickly and easily switch from one product to another.
And if you still want to try and fit the blouse or trouser you selected, staff on site will be happy to help you. Products you pick from the rack can be scanned using the barcode scanner in our app, while they pop up in the mirror together with interesting additional product information.
Offline to Online
The products you view in-shop are kept in your profile. Later at home you can browse through the various products from your comfy couch. Still having doubts about that beautiful shirt? At home you can continue your purchase.
The profile keeps track of your interests and contains the history of your previous purchases. These are accessible again both online and in-shop. How easy it now becomes to match the colour of the blouse you are trying on with the pair of trousers you have at home in the closet.
Instant payment and delivery
Have you found what you were looking for? No longer do you need to queue at the cash register or drag your purchases along on a busy Saturday. Straight from the mirror you pay your purchase and have it delivered to your home the same evening. An easy finish to an efficient and entertaining shopping experience.
